This week Funko unveiled their convention exclusives which would have been available at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. As in previous years the convention exclusives will also be available at partner retailers for those who couldn’t attend the convention. But since covid-19 is still ruining everyone’s plans, at least for the responsible folk, exclusives will be available on Funko.com too.
Part of the announcements this week include a new Pixar concept, Pixar remix. It’s similar to some mashups Funko has made in the past, but this series focuses on the adorable green aliens from the Toy Story films. Each Pop! will feature a little green guy dressed up as another iconic Pixar character.
The two officially announced for the convention is the alien as Kevin from Up and Bullseye from Toy Story 2 and later. Kevin will be available at Box Lunch while Bullseye will only be available from Funko Shop.
In addition to these two, it appears that these are just the tip of the iceberg in a much larger collection. Browsing the Pop! selection on Gamestop I discovered a lot more aliens dressed up as other characters. You’ll be able to get one as Dug, Russel, and Carl from Up (I think Carl is my favorite of the bunch), Buzz Lightyear and Zurg from Toy Story, Dory from Finding Nemo/Dory, and Dot from A Bug’s Life. Additionally, there will be a 10-inch in the series of everyone’s favorite cowboy, Woody from Toy Story.
There will also be series of mystery minis released featuring the aliens as even more characters including Lotso, Nemo, Miguel, Anger, Wall-E, Elastigirl, Sulley, and Boo.
It’s not clear when these new line will be available but some retailers are already taking pre-orders.
