Before the D23 Expo kicks off officially on Friday, Thursday night’s preview gave eager fans their first look as some exciting future plans for Disney’s U.S. theme parks.

New concept art has been released for EPCOT’s transformation, including a new overall view of what is currently Future World as well as news that a Moana-themed attraction, Journey of Water, is coming to the park.

Concept art for the Star Wars hotel reveals that the hotel itself, dubbed Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, is actually just that, a starcruiser called the Halcyon. It will take guests on immersive, two-night adventures and is currently being built right behind Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.

Opening in October at EPCOT at the former Odyssey building will be Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience. It will be home to interactive exhibits about future projects coming to the park.

For the west coast, we have new concept art for what will become a new land, Avengers Campus, at California Adventure. More details are forthcoming in a few days at the parks panel, but enjoy the art and spend a few days speculating about all of the interesting details.

Soon we should have a lot more info on these projects and hopefully there will be a lot more we don’t know about yet. We’re hoping for a few big surprises, but we’ll have to wait and see.
