The Marvel universe has a growing presence at Disneyland Paris, and that continues with the reimagining of a classic Disney thrill ride.
Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster at Walt Disney Studios Park will be kicking Aerosmith to the curb as Tony Stark and his Avenger buddies take over for their own high-speed adventure. The attraction is currently scheduled to be closed in May, though no dates have been revealed connected this specific change.
This is the first big change announced for Disneyland Paris since the Walt Disney Company gained full control of the resort last year. Here’s hoping they can inject some more life and creativity into Walt Disney Studios Park, which aside from a small section dedicated to Ratatouille, is severely lacking.
Also revealed at D23 Expo Japan, we’ve been given a peek into one of the rooms at Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel. The hotel, done in the style of a contemporary art gallery, will open in 2020.
Disneyland Paris is already getting into the Marvel spirit this year with the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes, kicking off June 10. Visitors can enjoy two new shows, a Guardians dance-off, and new character meets.
