When Pixar Pier opens this summer at Disney California Adventure, the popular dining locations Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto will become a single establishment called Lamplight Lounge.
The lounge, opening June 23, will serve signature cocktails and “California casual gastro-pub cuisine,” but fear not, the famous lobster nachos will still be on the menu. The lounge is intended to feel like a hangout for Pixar artists, which means guests will find Imagineering Easter eggs tucked throughout, including concept art sketched on a cocktail napkin or Pixar character knick-knacks and toys that have been left behind.
For those craving one last visit to Cove Bar in its previous state, the location reopens on March 16 before closing for good at the end of May. Ariel’s Grotto will not be returning.
Will the new lounge be as popular as Cove Bar? Only time will tell, but we’ll certainly be there to finally try those famous nachos.
