Disneyland continues to unveil changes for its Downtown Disney district that make it feel more like a West Coast outpost of the recently reimagined Disney Springs in Florida.

Ballast Point, a San Diego-based brewery, will open its first Orange County location at Downtown Disney later this year. The space will feature Disneyland’s first on-site brewery, a tasting room, kitchen, and outdoor beer garden. The restaurant and brewery will be located toward the west end of the development, across from Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar.

Also new to Downtown Disney, Splitsville Luxury Lanes is ready for guests and will open Monday, January 29. The bowling alley and restaurant has been at Disney Springs since 2012, and this marks the company’s first West Coast location.

One of the more intriguing changes is an overhaul of World of Disney that will have home goods branching out to a new spot called, simply, Disney Home. It’s unknown if they will offer a new product line or the same merchandise available currently. Personally, I’m hoping for something along the lines of the Marketplace Co-op at Disney Springs, but I’m not sure my wallet could handle the ensuing overweight checked bag fees.

Also opening later this year is Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, and a renovation to Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria that will expand the restaurant’s patio and offer a new outdoor bar.

If you’re reading this and thinking, “Wow, there’s going to be a lot of booze at Downtown Disney,” I’m right there with you. Are you excited to see these new eateries (and bars) coming to the district?
