Happy long-weekend Friday! The Food & Wine festival is here, which must mean summer is over, sadly. Let’s dive in to what’s going on this week.

First things first: we’d be remiss to not acknowledge the devastation caused this week by Hurricane Harvey. The Walt Disney Company donated $1 million to relief efforts and is encouraging others to help however they can.

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is back, and at 75 days with 35 booths and marketplaces, it’s literally bigger than ever.

We’ll be visiting later this month and I think I’m almost as excited to check out the new decor as I am to try some of the food.

No one does a better job at rounding up all the F&W info than Disney Food Blog. Check out their post for all the menus and details.

Disneyland released some more concept art for the upcoming Halloween season at Cars Land. And honestly, it looks a little weird. We’re hoping it just because they’re renderings and the finished product will look better!

The ride vehicle for Slinky Dog Dash has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! While the video is a little hokey (and the big reveal was definitely spoiled on Twitter a few days early), this thing is adorable — I can’t wait to take Slinky for a ride next summer!

Speaking of, the ‘Walt Disney Presents’ preview center going into One Man’s Dream will open on Sept. 8. Imagineers are wrapping up details on the Toy Story Land model to be featured inside.

Let’s end the week on a feel-good note… A man in need of a kidney wore a t-shirt with his plea to the Magic Kingdom. A photo of his shirt went viral and he has received messages from more than 200 people wanting to see if they’re a match.
